From Michael Hull, Office of SBA:

On February, 28, 2008, Advocacy announced the 2008 Top 10 Rules for Review  and Reform. The Top 10 are drawn from over 80 rules nominated by small business owners and their representatives as part of the Regulatory Review and Reform (r3) initiative. The 2008 Top 10 Rules for Review and Reform are listed in the Report on the Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA), FY 2007.

We want to hear from you on these rules.  Please post them to your websites and get the word out.  Public response on how to reform these rules will be critical to our efforts.  For example, I would hope the National Association of the Self Employed (NASE) could produce countless stories and examples of the difficulties of the calculations on the current Home Based Business Deduction.  (My wife who is a tax accountant refused to let us take it when I was working out of home for fear of an audit!)

Best regards,
