PG&E’s Small Business Energy Edge SM pilot offers energy
saving services, rebates and special loans tailored to small
businesses that may not have the time, financial resources
or in-house expertise to analyze and/or alter their energy
usage.

The combination of existing energy efficiency rebates and
financing through Union Bank of California helps remove
barriers which have traditionally limited small businesses
investment in items or combinations of items such as
energy-efficient lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning,
and food service equipment.

Since June 30, 2006, over 1,000 small businesses have been
contacted about the pilot.

As of December 12, 2006:

22 small businesses have signed pilot participation
agreements.
·
19 businesses have applied for loans with 15 approved.
